Brief Description: She's able to produce any sound frequency just with her vocal chords, high and low. In practical application she can mimic people's voices and induce emotional and physical responses in those who hear her. Frequency doesn't equal volume, so while she can reach pretty high frequencies, her distance range isn't too ample and she needs to either be in close proximity of her target or use amplifiers of sorts if she's using them as an offensive. Technological amplifiers are rendered useless after a couple uses so she depends mostly on stealth to get the best results. She's also not completely immune to the frequencies she produces so every now and then she'll end up with a bleeding nose or ears.Utilization: The quirk itself has it's biggest application as a decoy/support feature. Yes, she can make people's ears bleed but the special moves that require it are last resource options. Beckett's usuals involves getting enemies to cooperate and difusing difficult situations.

She was told early on there was a chance she would not have a quirk, but surprisingly enough it showed when she was five years old. Siren call. She broke a window with a single screech several decibels higher than she should’ve been able to muster.Over the years her quirk continued to develop until she could do two things; imitate any kind of sound, from lower to higher frequencies, make her voice sound like multiple ones and release it at very high volume.She doesn’t take having a quirk too seriously. And while she managed to get into U.A., Beckett’s not entirely sure if she wants to be a pro hero like her mother. She still pulls her weight around. Mostly because it’s the one responsibility she has.

Garrison’s popularity was based on his pheromone based powers, enabling him to manipulate the emotions of the people around him. One such woman who fell prey to his power was Gail herself, whom Garrison coerced into having a romantic relationship with him. However, when Gail ended up pregnant with Laurie, she developed an immunity to Garrison’s pheromones and left him upon realizing that he had been controlling her.Gail was traumatized after the incident with Sean and became very insular. With no other role models, Laurie too isolated herself believing that allowing other people to get close would result in her getting hurt. At thirteen years old, Laurie was on vacation when her own powers of pheromone control manifested. All of a sudden, she was popular and felt happy. Gail, however, realized what was transpiring and explained to Laurie that using her power was unfair on others. Once more, Laurie retreated into herself, feeling that she could never trust how anyone felt about her ever again.While attending high school, Laurie Collins excelled academically but she continued to keep to herself. Gail then decided to enroll her at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Even there, in the presence of fellow mutants, Laurie remained withdrawn and kept to herself - but always near others, much like a wallflower.With the influx of new students to the Xavier Institute, the staff split the students into squads of six, with an assigned mentor for each. Thankfully for Laurie, she and her friends were placed on the same squad.After a romantic disappointment, Laurie returned to Xavier’s school, where she thanked Kevin for exposing Josh. She also declared that she wasn’t weak anymore and would no longer be manipulated by others. While the Xavier Institute students were preparing for the upcoming school dance, Laurie pondered not attending it, given her recent troubles with Josh and Kevin. However, one of her classmates, Prodigy, convinced her that she should celebrate nonetheless as she had finally mastered her powers, and Laurie accepted his invitation. Unfortunately, she had no idea that her mother was chaperoning the dance, which annoyed her to a great deal. Seeing Josh at the dance flirting with another woman further frustrated her, prompting Laurie to ask her date to kiss her in order to make Josh jealous. As Prodigy refused, Laurie used her pheromone power on him, ruining the evening for everyone involved, as naturally Laurie’s classmates and her mother realized what she had done.Shortly thereafter, the tragedy known as “M-Day” struck, leaving the majority of the world’s mutant population de-powered. Laurie was one of the few mutants to keep her powers; however she was clearly upset that her best friend Sofia did not.In the days that followed, arrangements were made for all of the de-powered students to be sent home - but tragedy struck again as the mutant hating organization led by Reverend Stryker launched a missile attack on the transport, killing forty-two innocent children. Laurie attended the mass funeral that was held for the deceased students, during which she tried to assure Josh that it was not his fault that he couldn’t heal their killed friends.Josh was also beating himself up for not being able to heal Laurie’s arm. Laurie tried to console him but, in the midst of their discussion, she was shot in the back of the head by one of Stryker’s assassins. Earlier, Stryker’s men had used future technology to identify Laurie as a potential omega-level threat, who could defeat Striker’s army.This point is where Laurie diverges from Canon.

==  ⃰ MY HERO ACADEMIA.  == Part of U.A.’s foreign program during her youth, Laurie had it rough, as rough as she had had it over at New York, but she didn’t mind much. It still was better than living under her mother’s watch. Not that she had anything against her mother, but the constant reminder that her quirk wasn’t fair to others was doing more harm than good.Laurie wanted to prove herself, and cultivate her quirk to make good use of it, instead of controlling it only to hide it and live a normal, anonymous life. Even as a student she couldn’t escape her peers’ judgment that her quirk was potentially dangerous, and U.A. was just not the place for her. However hard it was, she pushed through and made enough of a name for herself to be called into an agency after she graduated… and after she’d had her daughter Beckett.Laurie never shied away from letting people know Beckett was a quirkless man’s daughter, mainly because she didn’t want people piling responsibility on her when she was still too young to understand what her job was. And while she would have been perfectly content with her child not having a quirk, she was very proud when the first display of it rolled around even if it cost her a window… and the soundproofing of her home.

With her father being an engineer and her mother a stay at home mom, she was raised under a rather traditional family model; something she didn’t entirely like, but never dared mention, mostly because… well, her parents never did take criticism kindly.Her Quirk first manifested around age four, causing her to become rather fearful and anxiety ridden, to the point of never letting her family know in fear they would think she was lying, or take it as a cause for concern. Much to her surprise, they received the news in a welcoming manner and explained to her that it was just her quirk, she’d find a way to control it so she wouldn’t hear everyone, at all times.They were right, but that didn’t stop her from having a difficult time with it, starting with her sleeping schedule becoming a mess, not being able to focus in class, and even going as far as to believe some things she was hearing weren’t exactly thoughts. All in all, it took her about four more years to shut the voices down, and yet another four to successfully use her ability as a compass of sorts. Her advancements with it were slow, but she made sure to use it often, not to let it go to waste.Along with her personal training of her quirk, she started becoming more and more interested in her father’s field of work and started asking him questions, very early on, soon expressing interest in mechanics and deciding she wanted to make a future in that. Of course, that didn’t make her family happy in the slightest, confessing they “had plans” for her, but told her they’d play along with her until she was old enough. As per usual in circumstances like this, Regina said nothing about Gabriel’s behaviour.Her dreams Neventually landed her in U.A. 's Support Course, having no interest in becoming a hero and knowing full well she couldn’t possibly be of use with a quirk such as hers without fighting knowledge, which she didn’t have. It was during her student years that she met someone in the Hero course; Yuudai Hamada. Finding out he had a thing for her while she had her defenses down and the thought got to her while working with him to try and make bracelets that worked as shields for his arms. It made for an awkward meeting, but things worked out and they began dating not soon after.Of course, one thing led to the other and upon learning about her relationship, her father decided it was time she left school, and went on to get ready for what he had planned for her; of course, fulfilling her place as a woman. Needless to say, she wanted nothing to do with it and found a way to get out of her family’s roof, which ended in her marrying fairly younger than she would have preferred, but perfectly happy about it since Yuudai was a good man.Managing to sell several of her creations to different companies before graduation, Rosario made enough money to go ahead with her University studies while still working on what she loved, mostly to support her husband’s job as a pro hero. Still, not all the foreseeing in the world could’ve prepared her for what would happen just three years into her marriage; with Yuudai getting killed while on duty.She always knew it was a possibility, every day she prayed that he’d come home safely, checked his equipment, repaired it wherever he needed it almost daily, so Rosario never thought she would lose him like that. What came after was a prolonged battle to prove her artifacts had not malfunctioned and that indeed there was nothing she could’ve done ahead of time to protect Yuudai further. However, with each passing day and people losing more and more trust in her and her work, she was left with no other option but to work with a company; something she had promised herself she wouldn’t ever do.It’s not all terrible, but it has driven her into a rather isolated life, with no one but her dog Wan, and the AI assistants she’s developed to work around her in her workshop.

Heroes had turned their back on her, so she saw no reason why she couldn't turn her back on them all.
